Abigail
Abigail loves school, singing, working out, sharks, fishing with her family, drawing, painting, and reading from her book collection. Her mother describes her as extremely empathetic and constantly looking out for others.
In December of 2019, Abigail was diagnosed with brain cancer. During Abigail’s battle, her mother had to leave her job to be her primary caregiver. JUST TRYAN IT funded an emergency relief grant to assist with uncovered medical expenses. Abby found ways to find joy through this challenging time, by having dance parties with her nurse best friends. Six years after her diagnosis, Abby “rang the bell” and is now in maintenance.
Abby was the 2022 Face of the Race in Bethesda. She and her mother had a great time celebrating the racers, giving out medals at the finish and dancing in the party zone.
