Bobby
“Bobby was 8 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia (CML). He has 4 siblings: 3 sisters and 1 brother. We had left Richmond, VA homeless with nowhere to go. We moved down to Alexandria with a family member and was looking for housing. Bobby was a very outgoing person. On April 4, 2025 my life took a turn when Bobby was diagnosed with leukemia. It started in his eye: he kept complaining about really bad headaches and then he stopped responding to me and his siblings. Dealing with all that Bobby is going through and still trying to make a way to find housing still is very tough. I’ve been trying to apply for any house I can apply for. He is currently in the hospital where his sister was his donor .. going through transplant. He’s looking to come home with a room and a home to call home.”
