Jose
Jose is a sweet 6-year-old boy who is a warrior. He has tried Karate and swimming. He tries his best to keep up with the other kids even when he is tired. He loves cats, legos, and art. He lives with his parents and his 4-year old brother, who is his greatest supporter. Jose was diagnosed with Grade 4 Brain Cancer and underwent surgery and treatment. Jose passed the 2 year mark with no relapse and now his MRI’s are every 6 months.
Jose’s diagnosis took a toll on his family. Both of Jose’s parents worked full time, but his mother significantly reduced her hours in order to bring Jose to his treatments. This cut their family income in half. All while co-pays and travel expenses increased the strain on the family’s limited income. Jose and his mother have had to travel 120 miles a day back and forth for radiation, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. JUST TRYAN IT, funded a grant to assist with their mortgage and other expenses while their family focuses on Jose’s care. “Day by day with hope and faith we keep going.” – Jose’s mom
