Sophia
Sophia is determined and strong-spirited, both in her medical battles and in life in general. Sophia was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma with Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome when she was just 20 months old.
Sophia was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma with Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS), a disease where the immune system attacks the cerebellum in response to a tumor. After several surgeries and two rounds of chemotherapy, Sophia was declared NED – no evidence of disease – in February 2007. Today Sophia is happy, healthy and thriving! She was a long time racer in the JUST TRYAN IT race each year, enlisting friends to join her, and to somehow help others through her story and her spirit.
