Immediate Financial Support

JUST TRYAN IT provides immediate financial support to families so they can focus on caring for their child, not the mounting expenses they face.

A childhood cancer diagnosis turns life upside down. Parents must juggle medical decisions, long hospital stays, and emotional strain—all while trying to keep their household afloat. Many are forced to miss work or leave their jobs entirely. Bills pile up, savings disappear, and basic needs become uncertain.

We partner with social workers at six leading pediatric oncology hospitals to identify families experiencing financial hardship during their child’s treatment. Together, we ensure support reaches the families who need it most—quickly and with dignity.

Emergency Financial Assistance

These supports stabilize families during overwhelming times and allow parents to remain by their child’s side.

Deep Need Financial Assistance

These grants provide longer term support for a family with deep financial needs, a relapse or secondary diagnosis or a terminal diagnosis. These larger grants will typically cover 3-6 months of a family’s basic needs.

In both cases, we help cover essential household expenses that often fall behind during treatment, including:

  • Rent or mortgage

  • Utilities

  • Transportation and parking for hospital visits

  • Childcare for siblings

  • Groceries and meals

  • Funeral expenses

  • Auto repairs, loans, insurance

The Impact

Financial stress can interrupt or delay treatment. By reducing this burden, we help families maintain consistent access to care, which is essential for the best possible outcomes.

  • Families stay housed and safe.

  • Parents remain present during hospital stays.

  • Children receive uninterrupted care.

  • Stress is reduced, resilience is strengthened, and hope is restored.

Hear from Our Families

Your gift is going to help us a lot. I have 3 children ages 4 months,4 years old and my son 6 who has wilms tumor. I was working overnight at Amazon I lost my job last night due to child care issues because nobody wanted to watch my son due to his illness. I was going to be behind on my rent. This helps a lot and it takes a lot of stress off of me, now I won’t have to worry how we gonna pay our rent your organization make sure we weren’t on the streets. I appreciate the help through this stressful time.

All my thanks go to JUST TRYAN IT and your donors. If I didn’t get help from you Rosemary and I would probably be coming back to no home, car or electricity. When she relapsed after only a few months, I had to take a lot of time for doctor appointments before the transplant. I had already used all my savings for her chemo and surgeries in the first of the year when she was diagnosed. I didn’t have anything left for her relapse and continued treatment. I do not think people really know how much time and lost work happens when you are trying to save your child. When you also have other children at home it is even harder. So please thank them again for Rosemary and me.
